The centers for comprehensive care of children with disabilities - a mission for care and rehabilitation

June is dedicated to the rights, health, and future of children. Therefore, the Ministry of Health will present in June on its Facebook page the places and people who provide care in the Center for Complex Care of Children with Disabilities and Chronic Diseases and the Homes for Medical and Social Care for Children - the quiet spaces where every smile has value, every effort has meaning, and every child receives the attention they need.

The first Tuesday of June will be dedicated to the Center for Complex Care of Children with Disabilities and Chronic Diseases in Sofia. There, daily, hourly comprehensive rehabilitation is provided for children with diseases of the nervous system, musculoskeletal system, birth-related injuries, rare diseases, and specific developmental disorders. Rehabilitation and specific care are also offered for premature and high-risk newborns.

The Center's activities include medical and non-medical rehabilitation - physical therapy, kinesitherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, psychological therapy, pedagogical activities, and work with parents. The team of highly qualified specialists - pediatricians, physiotherapists, kinesitherapists, rehabilitation specialists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, educators, and social workers, continuously monitor the latest developments in comprehensive rehabilitation and apply them in their work.

The Center has a renovated facility, offering modern conditions and well-equipped offices and halls for rehabilitation, relational psychomotricity, passive and active gymnastics, as well as the necessary conditions and aids to facilitate the movement of children with disabilities. The Center's capacity is 90 children.
