A successful week for the sailors of YSC "Nessebar 2000"

Within just one week, representatives of YSC "Nessebar 2000" recorded remarkable achievements in two prestigious sailing competitions.

"The successes are a result of the constant preparation and passion of our competitors," the club shared.

"Port Varna" Regatta 2026

In the regatta, part of the BSF Sports Calendar, the club distinguished itself in several classes:

  • "Finn" class: Zlatko Atanasov deservedly took 2nd place.
  • "Optimist" class: Alessandra Vasileva grabbed first place among junior girls, and Vincenzo Nikolov ranked 7th in the overall standings.

International participation in Athens

Young hopeful Alessandra Vasileva represented Bulgaria at the U13 Championship in the Greek capital. She was the only Bulgarian participant among a competition of 306 sailors. Despite her tender age and one year of experience, the 9-year-old sailor recorded an impressive 38th place in the "Optimist" class.

Upcoming challenges

Following these successes, the focus of YSC "Nessebar 2000" shifts to:

  • The Bulgarian National Championship
  • The Balkan Championship in Greece
