Three men have been stopped while driving in Burgas in recent days after it was established that they were driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. This was reported by the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior – Burgas.

The first case was recorded on Saturday around 02:15 on Bulair Street in Burgas, where police stopped a Hyundai Kona for inspection. It was determined that the car was driven by a 41-year-old Ukrainian citizen with refugee status residing in Varna. His test showed an alcohol concentration of 1.51 per mille.

A few hours later, at approximately 22:35 the same day, officers stopped a Volkswagen Golf for inspection in Aitos. Behind the wheel was a 42-year-old man from the town, who tested with an alcohol concentration of 1.80 per mille.

The third incident occurred around 02:20 in the area near the Kamelia Garden complex in the Kamelia neighborhood of Nessebar. Police stopped a Volkswagen Passat that was driving without its headlights on. The driver turned out to be a 49-year-old man from Kableshkovo. During testing for alcohol and drugs, his second sample tested positive for methamphetamine. A personal search revealed dry green plant matter, presumed to be marijuana, weighing approximately 2 grams.
