Tragic incident at the North Beach
A serious incident overshadowed the holiday in the Sunny Beach resort complex. A 75-year-old tourist from Romania drowned in the sea, police reported.
The incident occurred around 1:50 PM in the area of the North Beach, immediately in front of lifeguard station No. 17.
The woman was staying in the complex, where she was on vacation. The report about the incident was submitted to the Regional Department in Nesebar.
Actions taken by the authorities
- The woman's body has been transported to the Department of Forensic Medicine at UMBAL – Burgas for an autopsy.
- Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case to determine the causes of the fatal incident.

19.08.2026, 15:25абе, yordan52, наистина е потресаващо… читаш ли колко често се случват такива неща? не говоря само за слънчев бряг, а изобщо по морето. какво стана всъщност – сърдечен удар, припадък, течение я уловило? трябва да има повече контрол и внимание към възрастните хора на плажа, особено като времето става все по-непредвидимо.
