Hundreds of pupils and teachers walked through central Burgas with lit torches on the eve of National Revivalists' Day. It was the 11th year in a row that the march has been held.

Led by a brass band, the procession went along the main streets and stopped in front of the town hall.

The marchers paid tribute to the Bulgarian teachers, writers and revolutionaries who, over the centuries, kept alive knowledge, national identity and the spirit of the Bulgarian people.
