Dismissal of Daniela Miteva from the Registry Agency

Minister of Justice Nikolay Naydenov announced at a briefing at the Council of Ministers that he has proposed the dismissal of Daniela Miteva from the position of Executive Director of the Registry Agency. The decision comes after a detailed analysis of the agency's work.

I encountered shocking and unacceptable practices that have been going on for years, which, despite the numerous reports available, seem to have been tolerated or ignored.

The Minister emphasized the strategic importance of the Registry Agency, which is responsible for:

  • Registration of companies and non-profit organizations;
  • Registration of state institutions and properties;
  • Management of the Special Pledges Register.

According to Naydenov, the agency processes an extremely large volume of personal data, and its activities have a direct impact on the daily lives of citizens and businesses. The changes are necessary to restore the normal functioning of this key state structure.
