Hidden Thai women exposed during border control at "Lesovo"

The night border check at the Lesovo border checkpoint revealed an unexpected attempt at illegal entry into the country. Around 10:00 PM, border checkpoint staff stopped a Volvo passenger car driven by a 60-year-old Danish citizen, who raised heightened interest among police officers.

During a thorough inspection of the vehicle, inspectors noticed an unusually arranged luggage on the back seat. Among the pile of bags, pillows, and blankets, two women with Thai passports were discovered. It was established that they were 30 and 42 years old and did not have the necessary entry documents for the country.

Immediate procedural actions were taken – a quick proceeding was initiated against the illegal passengers for attempting to improperly cross the state border. A pre-trial proceeding was started against the Danish driver for a crime related to illegal transportation of people.

The three participants in the incident – the two Thai women and their driver – were detained at the Border Police Department in Elhovo for further investigation.
