Shocking violence: Man remanded in custody for attempted murder of a 5-year-old child in Botevgrad

The Botevgrad District Court has imposed a "remand in custody" measure on 24-year-old G.G. The man is accused of causing grievous bodily harm to a 5-year-old child with whom he shares a household. The incident is classified as domestic violence.

On August 11, the accused inflicted multiple blows on the minor's body. The injuries are extremely severe and life-threatening:

• Rib and jaw fractures.

After the beating, the child was transported by the mother to the hospital in Montana. Due to the critical condition, the medics immediately contacted the police, and the child was later transported by medical helicopter to a specialized clinic in Sofia.
