Seven pupils from the "Sts Cyril and Methodius" primary school in Sveti Vlas have had their stories printed in a special anniversary book put out by Bulgarian National Radio's Burgas station, the school says.

The book is the tenth in the series, titled "10 Years of Fairy Tales with BNR" — the same age as the writing contest the radio station runs.

The book includes stories by Yordan Benev and Plamena Gigova from year 6b, and by Nikol Nikolova, Sofia Nikolova, Yasen Zehtindzhiev, Veronika Belchinova and Emily Rene Ganchovska from year 6a. Their Bulgarian language and literature teacher, Daniela Ivanova, coached them.

This is the fifth year running that the school has taken part in the contest. The school says it lets pupils' writing reach a national radio audience instead of staying in the classroom, and that writing fairy tales helps a child find their own voice.
