US and Israel consider new strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities

According to US officials, preparations have intensified over the past few days. Data from US and Israeli intelligence services indicate that Iran has moved a large number of nuclear centrifuges, intended for uranium enrichment, into underground tunnels beneath Pikes Mountain from other nuclear sites that were subjected to massive US strikes in June of last year.

Earlier, CBS News, citing its own sources, reported that the US and Israel are planning one of the largest bombardments in recent times on energy infrastructure facilities in Iran over the weekend.

According to these reports, the US leadership discussed the possibility of concluding such an operation before the opening of financial markets on Monday, due to concerns regarding the impact of the bombings on the US and global economy. However, the final timing for the operation has not yet been determined.

According to information from several US sources, Israel has been notified and is coordinating its actions with the US. US President Donald Trump has not yet given final authorization for the strikes, officials said.
