The medical information system has undergone a significant update, which provides unprecedented opportunities for tracking protocols for expensive medications. Through the new electronic portal doc.his.bg, personal physicians gain full access to detailed information regarding the treatment of their patients.
The system offers three main categories for protocol review: "In Process", "Active", and "Inactive". The first category covers protocols with various intermediate statuses such as "awaiting documents", "submitted", or "under review". Active protocols represent already approved medical documents, while inactive ones include canceled, rejected, or expired versions.
Currently, over 230 thousand patients are covered by the system for expensive medications, which are prescribed both in outpatient and hospital medical care. The collaborative work of teams from the National Health Insurance Fund and "Information Services" AD made this technological improvement possible.
An additional convenience for citizens is the ability to track their own protocols through their personal electronic health record. The my.his.bg platform and the eHealth mobile application provide direct access to medical documentation, which increases transparency and awareness.
