On May 28, 2023, traffic on the Struma motorway between the 53rd and 56th kilometers will be carried out in the overtaking lane due to repair work on the pavement in the active lane. The repair work will be carried out in stages in both directions of travel.
From 8:30 am to 1:00 pm, work will be carried out on the lane towards Sofia, and then, between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm, the restoration activities will continue on the lane towards Blagoevgrad.
The Road Infrastructure Agency (API) apologizes to drivers for the inconvenience caused, but emphasizes that these activities are necessary to ensure traffic safety. API calls on drivers to be cautious, to follow the traffic rules and speed limits, and not to undertake risky overtaking.
