Due to the expected increase in traffic over the holidays, the Traffic Police department at the General Directorate of National Police is taking measures to ensure driver safety. A total of over 700 police teams have been deployed on roads across the country to monitor compliance with traffic rules throughout the holiday period.

Meanwhile, temporary restrictions have been implemented at the 262nd kilometer of the Trakia motorway in the direction of Sofia. The Road Infrastructure Agency (RIA) explained that repairs are necessary for an expansion joint in the passing lane, which is why traffic is being directed only through the active lane.

To facilitate the passage of vehicles in the affected area, the necessary road signage has been put in place.
