The Burgas branch of Progressive Bulgaria has opened a new club — "Teachers for Development – Burgas" — right on Independence Day.

The club will focus on education and back teachers in the region, the party said.

Stanimir Hristov, a teacher and party member, will lead it.

The club was set up by MP and local party leader Silvia Hristova, along with Nikolay Boychev, organizational secretary of the local party branch.

With this, Progressive Bulgaria's Burgas branch now has a club dedicated specifically to education issues and to the people who teach children.
