At the Wine Festival in Delchevo, President Iliana Yotova called for unity and a better life for Bulgarians. She emphasized the importance of traditions, fertility, and joint efforts for prosperity.

Enough political spectacles, let's get out of this intoxication, because we must not forget our most important duty – the duty of Bulgarian citizens to live better and to bequeath a prosperous homeland to our children. With this appeal, President Iliana Yotova addressed the politicians in her welcome during the wine festival dedicated to Trifon Zarezan in the village of Delchevo, Gotse Delchev municipality.

“We don't want to divide anymore. Let's gather our forces. Everything is in our hands. If we are together and if we make sure that every talent is valued, the results and successes will inevitably come,” said Yotova. She added that “today is a time for celebration”, but also for a message “to all of Bulgaria for pure souls, health, fertility and beauty in the relationships between people”.

Thank you for once again gifting me with this incredibly beautiful and very Bulgarian holiday. Every year I come with great pleasure here in Delchevo, because I meet so many friends, familiar faces and above all smiles, said the President.

“Every time we prune the vineyard, we know that the owners from this area will give everything good to Mother Earth, to be fertile and to have a good harvest,” said Yotova, adding that there is no Bulgarian holiday where good Bulgarian wine is not on our table, but behind this are a lot of hard work and hardworking people.

“If we preserve our traditions, if we teach children about them, and if we live well as neighbors, this is a big stake for success and good results,” she said, adding that in this difficult and dangerous world, people must hold hands in both celebrations and weekdays, in order to move forward and leave peace and a future to the children after us.

We would not have this holiday and we would not be able to preserve the Bulgarian villages if it weren't for the help of the local authorities, she also said, adding that only when the institutions are together, can we move forward.

President Iliana Yotova is in the village of Delchevo as a guest of the wine festival dedicated to Trifon Zarezan. She participated in the traditional pruning of the vineyards. Among the official guests of the event were the Members of Parliament Kiril Dobrev and Ahmed Vranchev, the regional governor of Blagoevgrad Georgi Dinev, the mayor of Gotse Delchev Vladimir Moskov, as well as his deputies Bogdan Botsev, Valeri Sarandev and Said Ibrosh, mayors from neighboring municipalities and neighboring Greece.

In the festive program in the center of Delchevo participated “Babugeri” from the village of Mosomishte, amateurs from the villages of Mosomishte, Banichan, Delchevo, Breznitsa and Goleshovo, as well as a folklore group from the village of Ksiropotamos, Republic of Greece.

The wine festival in the village of Delchevo is organized by the Municipality of Gotse Delchev for the 21st consecutive year.
