Festive program for the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Nesebar

On August 15, Nesebar celebrates its official holiday – the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The city is preparing a large-scale cultural program that promises unforgettable emotions for the residents and guests of the seaside resort.

The culmination of the celebrations will be the grand concert of the legendary Vasil Naidenov in front of the fortress walls of the Old Town.

Program highlights:

  • August 14: Evening service and a concert by the duet "Riton" at the "Zhanna Chimbuleva" amphitheater at 9:00 PM.
  • August 15: Solemn Holy Liturgy and a national flag-raising ceremony.
  • Green initiatives: Presentation of electric vehicles under the motto "Green Nesebar" at the Fisherman's Monument.
  • For children: A celebration with the "Balkanski" circus in the South Park.
  • Evening performances: Concerts by trio "Deja Vu", trio Viva, and the "Bulgari" ensemble.

The finale of the festive day will be impressive – after Vasil Naidenov's concert, the sky over Nesebar will be illuminated by a drone show, light effects, and a pyromusical spectacle. The decision to celebrate the holiday on August 15 was made by the Municipal Council in 1992.
