An empty tank is floating in the sea about 2 km off Ahtopol, the regional administration in Burgas told BTA. Early information suggests it came from the same ship that lost the container now washed up on the rocks near Arapya.

Regional governor Diko Dikov went to Ahtopol today to see the situation for himself. Earlier in the day he also visited the container on the rocks between the Arapya and Oasis campsites.

The tank cannot be pulled out of the water because the sea is rough and the waves are high. The regional administration said it will remove the tank once the sea calms down.
