Prime Minister Rumen Radev presented the "Justice" section of the Governance Program of the Republic of Bulgaria for 2026-2030. Minister of Justice Nikolay Naydenov also participated in the presentation of the main priorities.

"We are proposing a comprehensive systemic approach that places the individual and the rule of law at the center," stated the Prime Minister.

The main goal of the proposed judicial reform is to shift from reactive, ad-hoc measures and fragmented initiatives to a unified national plan. It includes clear political accountability and responsibility for restoring the legitimacy of governing bodies within the judicial system, ensuring integrity in personnel decisions, and reducing dependencies and informal influence within the judiciary.

According to Rumen Radev, the modernization of the judicial system must work more effectively for citizens and businesses. He added that "justice is not just a topic for jurists, judges, prosecutors, and lawyers, but a matter of everyday life for every Bulgarian citizen."
