Operations against crime: narcotics, theft, and drunk driving

On August 8, around 03:00, near the "Mistery" disco in Sozopol, a 27-year-old man from Sofia was detained with eight packets of white powder—"cocaine." After searching his residence, police found another 35 grams of "cocaine," an electronic scale, and 80 "ecstasy" pills. He was detained for 24 hours; expedited proceedings were initiated.

Officers from the Second Police Precinct in Burgas stopped a BMW 535 driven by an 18-year-old from Sofia in connection with perfume thefts in Mall "Galleria." Six branded perfumes were found, likely stolen. The driver was detained; investigation continues.

On August 8, around 10:00, in a bungalow at "Rodni Prostory" base, a 33-year-old man with a criminal record was detained, found with 120 grams of "cannabis." Expedited proceedings were initiated.

Later, at 10:45, in an apartment on "Stefan Stambolov" street in Pomorie, a 39-year-old man from Sliven was detained with two bags of "amphetamine," two of "methamphetamine" (10g total), and three "ecstasy" pills. He was detained for 24 hours; expedited proceedings were initiated.

On August 8, around 19:40, after a minor traffic incident near camping "Gradina," a 42-year-old Audi Q3 driver was tested and found to have a blood alcohol concentration of 4.24‰. He was detained for 24 hours.

On August 9, around 02:50, a theft in a "Phoenix" apartment at Sunny Beach was uncovered. Two perpetrators were detained and confessed after stealing valuables and money. Pre-trial proceedings were initiated.

Later, at 16:40, on "Yani Popov" street in "Slaveykov" district, a 39-year-old man from Burgas driving a Kia Sorento was found to have used "benzodiazepines." He was detained for 24 hours.

On August 10, around 04:50, on "Cherno More" street in Sozopol, a Renault Clio driven by a 21-year-old man from Atia was stopped for a driving test—1.97‰ alcohol. He was detained.

At 08:47, in Ahtopol, a Honda driver, a 45-year-old man from Sofia, was stopped—2.07‰ alcohol. He was detained, and the car was seized.

At 13:42 on "Stefan Stambolov" Blvd. in Burgas, a Toyota Avensis driven by a 35-year-old man from Burgas was found to be under the influence of "amphetamine and methamphetamine." He was detained, and his car was seized.

At 17:18 on the Burgas–Kableshkovo road, a Renault Laguna driver was tested after an accident—2.88‰ alcohol. He was detained.

At 18:10 on "Industrialna" street in Burgas, a Mercedes A170 driven by a 36-year-old man was found to be under the influence of "cannabis." He was detained.

On "Bulgaria" street in Malko Tarnovo, a Hyundai Coupe driven by a 57-year-old man was stopped—1.48‰ alcohol. He was detained.

At 19:05, next to block 272 in "Meden Rudnik" district, a Honda Civic driven by a 32-year-old man was stopped and found to be driving under the influence—1.26‰ alcohol. He was detained.

In all listed cases, Ministry of Interior officers took immediate action and initiated accelerated or pre-trial proceedings.
