Police in Nesebar seize marijuana from an apartment and a restaurant

Officers from the Regional Police Department in Nesebar have discovered and seized marijuana during inspections at a private apartment and a restaurant managed by a Sofia resident. A 54-year-old man from Sofia with a prior criminal record has been detained in connection with the case, announced the regional spokesperson for the Burgas police, Tsvetelina Randeva.

During a search of a residence in the "Hermes" complex in Nesebar, police officers found dry green plant matter weighing 350 grams, which tested positive for marijuana in a field drug test. The narcotic substance was stored in two plastic bags.

Following this, an inspection was also carried out at a restaurant, which is also managed by the Sofia resident and located in another complex in Nesebar. There, two scales, plastic bags, and a paper envelope containing 3 grams of marijuana were found and seized 3 grams.

The man has been detained for a period of up to 24 hours. A pre-trial proceeding has been initiated on the case, which is being overseen by the District Prosecutor's Office - Burgas.
