The police uncovered the kidnapping of a minor boy after a six-month investigation.

After a six-month investigation conducted by the employees of the "Crimes against the Person" sector and the Investigation Department of the Sofia Police Directorate, a kidnapping of a 17-year-old boy was uncovered. The incident occurred on January 4 around 10:20 PM in front of a residential building in the Malinova Dolina neighborhood, when several men in dark clothes and hoods ambushed the young man, took his phone, and forcibly put him in a parked car, using physical force and threats with a weapon. The kidnappers drove towards Simeonovsko Shose and Studentski Grad, after which they contacted the boy's relatives and demanded a ransom of 10,000 euros. After a few hours, the money was handed over at a location specified by them, and the minor was released.

A few days later, the relatives of the abducted person reported the case to the Sofia Police Directorate. The police officers immediately began working on the case, initially establishing the car with which the boy was kidnapped, and subsequently the three men involved in the crime. With the assistance of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Plovdiv and Burgas, yesterday the kidnappers were detained in their homes - two in Plovdiv and the third in Nessebar. They have been remanded in custody for up to 72 hours.
