Police operation in Pomorie uncovers a drug distribution network

Within the framework of a specialized police operation conducted yesterday around 5:30 PM in Pomorie, officers from the "Criminal Police" department and the "Special Tactical Actions" sector of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - Burgas, detained two local residents suspected of drug distribution. During a personal search of one of them, a 34-year-old man with a criminal record, the police seized 20 polyethylene bags, each containing 5 grams of marijuana.

The subsequent procedural and investigative actions in the residence of a 54-year-old Pomorie resident, found at the address, led to the discovery of an additional 20 bags of marijuana, as well as a scale and numerous empty plastic bags, indicating an organized activity of drug distribution. The total amount of confiscated marijuana is 200 grams.

A pre-trial proceeding has been initiated in the case, and the two detainees will be handed over to the judicial authorities.
