Police operation uncovers large-scale production of counterfeit detergents in Ruse region

Yesterday in the village of Basarbovo, Ruse municipality, specialized police officers carried out an inspection in a storage room used by a 25-year-old man. There were found 921 plastic canisters with a capacity of about 5 liters each, containing counterfeit detergents - a total of 4,866 liters of liquid, representing an imitation of registered trademarks. Printed labels with the logos of global brands were also found.

In subsequent actions in two properties in the village of Chervena Voda, managed by men aged 38 and 57, the police found an additional 140 canisters of 5 liters each with counterfeit detergent, rolls of labels with the same inscription, and 59 packages of perfumes - imitations of various commercial brands. The total amount of seized liquid from the three addresses amounts to over 5,300 liters.

An investigation has been launched in the course of pre-trial proceedings under the case file of the Ruse Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the work on documenting and clarifying it continues.
