Police in Tsarevo have detained three employees of a quick-loan company. A couple from the town reported that the three threatened to beat debtors who do not pay. Police said they have opened a pre-trial investigation.

The man and woman, who live together in Tsarevo, filed the report at the district police station yesterday at about 2:15pm. They said they were threatened with a beating because they had not paid what they owed.

The detained are a 47-year-old man from Sliven, a 40-year-old man from Tsarevo and a 36-year-old woman from Ahtopol. Police said both men have previous criminal records.

Officers searched two offices of the firms, a home and a car the three used. They seized a laptop, a mobile device, two desktop computers and five mobile phones.
