Tribute to Heroes: Military Ritual on All Souls' Day

With a ceremonial military ritual performed by the representative National Guard Unit, Bulgaria will pay deep respect to the memory of all servicemen who sacrificed their lives in the struggle for national liberation and unification. The event will also commemorate those who died in peacekeeping missions and in the performance of their military duty in peacetime. This is clear from a statement by the press center of the Ministry of Defense.

On the day of Archangel's Saturday, a day of prayer and respect for the dead, a memorial service will be held in the area of the Military Mausoleum-Ossuary in the Central Sofia Cemetery. It will be led by the Bulgarian Patriarch and Metropolitan of Sofia Daniel, which underlines the spiritual aspect of this ceremony.

The head of state, President Rumen Radev, will attend the military ritual - memorial service. The press secretariat of the President reports that his participation will demonstrate respect for the memory of the fallen Bulgarian soldiers on the occasion of Archangel's Saturday. While the ceremony lasts, the atmosphere will be filled with deep sadness and respect. The Minister of Defense, Atanas Zapryanov, as well as the Chief of Defense, Admiral Emil Eftimov, will also be present. Representatives of the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, senior officers from the Armed Forces, as well as members of various military-patriotic unions are also expected to attend, whose participation underlines the national significance of this day.

Throughout the country, in various military formations, rituals will be organized in honor of Archangel's Saturday. These events demonstrate unity and respect for the memory of the heroes from all over Bulgaria.

By tradition, Archangel's Saturday will also be celebrated at Bulgarian military cemeteries and memorial sites outside the country. This testifies to the state's care for preserving the memory of the heroes, regardless of where they found peace. The Ministry of Defense clarifies that these events will be organized for another year.
