Daring theft and accident in Sunny Beach

A 32-year-old man has been detained by the police after driving a municipal truck without authorization and causing a road accident. The incident occurred last night in the area of the bus station in the Sunny Beach resort.

The man was driving with a record-breaking blood alcohol level of 3.52 per mille, according to the breathalyzer data.

How did it happen?

  • The man took the keys to a truck owned by the Municipality of Nessebar.
  • After putting it in motion, he quickly lost control of the vehicle.
  • The truck crashed into a fence and hit a parked car.

At the moment, the offender is detained for a period of up to 24 hours. A fast-track proceeding has been initiated regarding the case, and all circumstances surrounding the incident are being clarified.
