An overturned trailer blocked the road between Pomorie and Aheloy near the Wave Resort complex just after 9pm tonight, readers told the paper. Cars heading to Burgas are stuck.

The trailer is lying across the road and won't let a single car through until it's towed away. Queues in the area are already growing.

One person was hurt, with a leg injury. There's no word so far that his life is in danger.

Police are at the scene. The road still needs to be cleared, but it's not yet clear how long that will take.

The drivers involved in the crash have been tested for alcohol and drugs. Unofficial reports say the results came back clean. Exactly what happened on the road is still being worked out.

Photos and video of the crash have also turned up in the Facebook group "Shoferi Nesebar," where people who drove past are telling others to avoid the stretch. The footage shows the heavy trailer lying on the asphalt.

The Wave Resort complex sits 5.5km north of Pomorie and 2.5km south of Aheloy, right next to the main Burgas-Varna road.
