There is an increase in signals from users of popular email platforms receiving fake messages purporting to be from NHIF. These pirate letters usually require a specific action from the recipient, which triggers a cyber attack on their device.
NHIF categorically states that it does not send information related to health insurance status, owed amounts or other personal information to citizens or partners by email. Such messages are Spam attacks, sometimes containing malicious software.
