Beach Safety: New Defibrillator in Burgas

The city of Burgas is taking another step toward becoming a safer place. An automated external defibrillator has been installed on the bridge of the central beach, in the area of the elevator for people with disabilities. The news was announced by Mayor Dimitar Nikolov.

The device is part of a strategic network of life-saving equipment located in key public areas of the city.

Where are the other devices located?

  • "Park Arena OZK" sports complex and "Mladost" hall
  • The sports hall at the Math High School (PMG)
  • "Meden Rudnik" swimming pool and "Flora" exhibition center
  • Central bus stop and "South" bus station

Easy to use even without medical knowledge

The main advantage of the automatic defibrillator is that it is designed for people without special training. Once activated, the device provides:

  • Step-by-step voice instructions;
  • Automatic heart rhythm analysis;
  • Safe delivery of an impulse when needed.

Future plans

The network is set to expand to the Summer Theater, the Burgas Municipality building, the International Congress Center, St. Anastasia Island, and the "Chengene Skele" fishing village.
