Pomorie council says a new rubbish collection schedule starts on 1 October 2026.

In the town itself, streets are split into four rounds, one for each day from Monday to Thursday, with bins emptied once a week. On Mondays, trucks go along Knyaz Boris I, Pazarna, Slivnitsa, Targovska, Solna and dozens of other streets in the centre. Tuesday is the turn of Kraybrezhna, Manastirska, Tsar Simeon, the Svoboda district and the areas of Krotirya, Lahana and Kosharite. On Wednesdays, crews cover Bulair, Makedonia, Trakia, Hristo Botev and Soleno Ezero street. On Thursdays they collect from Morska, Vazrazhdane, Strandzha and the stretch of Musala street between Maritsa and Manastirska.

The 1,100-litre "Bobur" bins run on a different schedule. Those on Manastirska, Musala, Petar Beron and Chayka streets, and at the campsite, get emptied twice a week. Bins on Knyaz Boris I, Solna, Slivnitsa, Kraybrezhna, Bulgaria, Evropa and Ropotamo streets, plus the Svoboda district and Yavorov street, get emptied three times a week.

The Svoboda district, Yavorov street and the side streets have an extra schedule on top of that. The reason is a project called "A holistic approach to waste management in the transition to a circular economy", which the council is running there. The council says the plan is to set up a new system to measure how much rubbish each household throws out, then bring in a "pay as you throw" waste charge.

In the villages and other towns in the municipality, the week also starts on Monday. That day, trucks collect rubbish in Aheloy south of Tsar Simeon street and near the stadium, as well as in Kosovets, Stratsin and Belodol. Tuesday is the turn of the northern part of Aheloy, plus Bata and Dabnik.

On Wednesdays, crews cover Goritsa, Gaberovo, Laka and the western part of Kableshkovo between Cherno More, Ivan Vazov and Stara Planina streets. On Thursdays they collect from the eastern and southern parts of Kableshkovo, plus Galabets, Aleksandrovo, Medovo and Kozichino. On Fridays it's Poroy and the Kamenar district.
