The National Center for Transfusion Hematology has a new director. Dr. Krasimira Terzieva, with over 20 years of experience in the field, takes the position of Dr. Nikolay Nikolov. The decision to change the director is dictated by the need to improve the efficiency of the processes related to blood donation and to apply better coordination between the regional structures.
The Ministry of Health expresses gratitude for the previous work and professionalism of Dr. Nikolov. The new director, Dr. Terzieva, has become acquainted with the team and has taken on the commitment to build on the achievements through constructive dialogue, expertise, and sustainable development.

According to Dr. Lucia Dobreva, Director of the "Curative Activities" Directorate at the Ministry of Health, the National Center for Transfusion Hematology and the transfusion hematology system are among the top priorities. She emphasized that the human factor is the most important, and all employees deserve fair remuneration and better working conditions.
