A large-scale police operation revealed a systematic violation of medical legislation in the heart of Plovdiv. The Economic Department of the Regional Police Directorate initiated a thorough investigation after receiving operational information about illegal healthcare activity.

An in-depth investigation found that a 52-year-old local resident was performing homeopathic treatment without legitimate rights. The key problem lies in the complete absence of the necessary master's degree in medicine or dental medicine, which constitutes a direct violation of professional standards.

The investigation revealed numerous significant irregularities in her practice. Besides the lack of academic qualifications, the woman had no certificate for non-conventional medical activities, registered company, or cash register for recording financial transactions.

On Tuesday, law enforcement officers conducted a targeted operation, catching the perpetrator exactly during her work. During a thorough search, multiple pieces of evidence were seized - homeopathic remedies, work notebooks, monetary funds, and materials for producing alternative medicines.

The supervising prosecutor from the Plovdiv District Prosecution Office brought official charges under Article 324, Paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code. The woman was imposed a "monetary guarantee" measure of 5000 leva, and the investigation continues in full force.

The case underscores the critical need for strict control over alternative medical practices and patient safety protection.
