A large-scale police operation uncovered an illegal distribution channel for medical preparations in the heart of a Plovdiv neighborhood. Officers from the Third District Criminal Police Department conducted an inspection of a small commercial establishment functioning as an unofficial pharmacy.
During a thorough examination of the premises, approximately 100 different medicinal products with an extremely diverse profile were discovered - from painkillers and anti-inflammatory medications to hormonal drugs and sexual stimulants. All preparations had Turkish language labels and lacked official permission for distribution in the Bulgarian market.
Particularly concerning was the fact that among the seized medications were injectable ampoules requiring special temperature and storage conditions. The commercial establishment did not have the necessary license to sell medical products, which raises serious questions about the safety of the offered products.
The shop owners voluntarily handed over all medications to the police officers. Subsequently, the Executive Agency for Medicinal Products (EAM) conducted a thorough inspection, which confirmed the absence of any permission to trade these medications.
The financial consequences for the violators are serious - a sanction of 75,000 leva was imposed on them. The company attempted to appeal the penal decree at the Plovdiv District Court, but the magistrates definitively confirmed the initial decision.
The court emphasized that such illegal trade represents a direct risk to public health. The decision is not yet final and can be appealed to the Plovdiv Administrative Court.
