The ship "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" arrives in Nessebar

In connection with the fifth anniversary of the commissioning of the research ship "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" into the fleet of the Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy and the celebration of four successful expeditions to Antarctica, the ship will visit Nessebar for the third time.

The ship is a source of pride for Bulgarian science and maritime education, connecting Bulgaria with the Ice Continent.

Event schedule:

• Date: July 28, 2026 (Tuesday)
• Docking: 2:00 PM at the Port of Nessebar
• Open House: from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM

Residents and guests of the city will have the unique opportunity to tour the ship, learn details about its scientific mission, and hear first-hand stories about the challenges faced during the voyages to Antarctica. The Municipality of Nessebar invites everyone to join in the welcome and support the crew ahead of the upcoming fifth expedition.
