The National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) warns of an increasing number of signals from citizens who have received fake e-mails sent on behalf of the institution. Usually, these pirate messages contain a request for user confirmation, which activates a cyber-attack against their device.
NHIF emphasizes that it does not send files related to health insurance status, owed amounts, or other personal information of citizens and contract partners by e-mail. These messages are spam emails, sometimes with attached malware.
