The National Revenue Agency (NRA), the General Directorate of the National Police (GDNP), and the General Labour Inspectorate (GLI) conducted joint inspections of 15 commercial sites. The operation took place on Wednesday evening, focusing on businesses managed by so-called "shell companies" suspected of committing tax crimes.

The uncovered mechanism shows that these commercial sites operate intensively throughout the country during the summer season. They generate tax liabilities which, although declared correctly, remain unpaid. To avoid these payments, the businesses use entities registered to individuals with low social status.

During the inspections, the teams from the GDNP and the NRA identified a total of 12 legal violations. In one of the establishments, no fiscal receipt was issued, and in eight others, a discrepancy was found between the actual cash in the register and the amounts recorded on the fiscal device. Inspectors from the GLI also identified irregularities, including work without employment contracts and the employment of minors without the necessary permits, who were working after 10:00 PM.

In an establishment whose owner has accumulated debts, fiscal officers seized all available cash. The amount will be directed toward settling obligations under an initiated enforcement case. The revenue agency confirmed that work to clarify the criminal scheme is ongoing, and a report on the case will be submitted to the prosecutor's office.
