Police in Varna have arrested a 49-year-old man after finding more than a kilogram of fentanyl in his possession. The man has a criminal record and had been under watch for months.

Officers found the drug at a private property in Varna, where it had been split into doses. Street dealers in the city were getting their supply from there.

The seized haul is enough for about 10,000 doses and is worth more than €40,000. On the street, the price would be far higher.
