Battle of Innovation: Horizon Grand Prix 2026 comes to Burgas
On May 30th at 10:00 AM, the "Mladost" sports hall in Burgas will turn into an arena of technology. Students from 15 schools and 11 cities in Bulgaria will compete in the sixth edition of the national Horizon Grand Prix 2026 competition.
"The race is very competitive and sometimes small mistakes can turn the entire race around," commented Ivaylo Bonev, manager of "Technocrati".
What is the competition?
- Construction: Students build 1:10 scale cars powered by a hydrogen fuel cell.
- Endurance: The race lasts 4 hours, with the goal of completing the maximum number of laps with limited resources.
- World Stage: The winners will represent Bulgaria at the World Championship in Switzerland (June 28 – July 4).

Admission is free! In addition to the fierce competition, visitors will be able to see a real hydrogen car, an electric go-kart, and many more surprises. Support the young engineers from Blagoevgrad, Burgas, Vidin, Veliko Tarnovo, Vratsa, Gabrovo, Ruse, Sofia, Targovishte, Kardzhali, and Gotse Delchev!
