A young man wielding a machete smashes up a parked car outside a block of flats in Kameno, footage from 22 September shows. The car's owner reported the attack to police and told his story to the media.

The footage shows a group of young men, only one of them carrying a large machete. He is the one who struck the car, which was parked right across from the owner's front door.

The car ended up with broken windows and a crushed plastic bumper, the man says. Police are now investigating.

"What you see in the footage isn't a scene from a film. It happened in the early hours of 22 September 2026, right outside my home, on the streets of our town," the car's owner wrote in his report.

"A MACHETE is a bladed weapon that can take a life in a second," he wrote, adding: "Today it's glass and plastic. But tomorrow? Tomorrow it could be my child in that spot, your mother, someone close to you, or you yourself."

The owner wonders whether the young man was drunk or on drugs — the police investigation should establish that. What worries him even more is the opposite possibility: that the young man was stone sober when he decided to walk out onto the street with a machete.

The footage also shows a couple walking with the group, though their role isn't clear. The man wants police to find out who the woman is and what she was doing there.

"How did we let this happen as a society? How did it become 'normal' for young men to walk around a town with combat knives, ready to turn violent for no reason at all?" the man asks in his report.
