Customs officers near Lovech stopped a meat shipment that held nearly 200 kg of marijuana and at least 10 kg of cocaine, the customs agency said.
The drugs were packed in among the meat of a well-known company in the sector. The firm's name has not been released.
Updated (12.10, 19:33): Local media report that the operation was carried out by GDBOP, the organised crime unit, and not by customs officers as first reported. The marijuana weighs more than 200 kg, not nearly 200 kg, and was found along with cocaine in two refrigerated lorries with Bulgarian plates. The drivers are Bulgarian citizens, and some people have been detained.
