Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Ivan Shishkov announced that a new design brief for the National Children's Hospital project will be prepared. The decision was announced at a briefing at the Council of Ministers following the first meeting of the Interdepartmental Coordination Council on issues related to the National Children's Hospital.

According to Shishkov, the current brief leads to unnecessary spending. He described the attempt to spend significantly more money through this brief, without providing any real benefit to society, as "one of the sins of the last three years."

"The brief is the most important part; it defines what the investor wants and what the state wants," the regional minister noted. According to him, the creation of a new project and the launch of a new tender procedure are imperative precisely because of the discrepancies in the existing documentation.

Prior to Ivan Shishkov's statement, Minister of Health Asena Sertova announced that there has been a change in the management of the state-owned company for the National Children's Hospital.
