The Turkmen citizen wanted internationally was arrested in Varna upon an Interpol request.

Within the framework of a specialized police operation, officers from the "Search" sector at the General Directorate of the National Police have arrested a 67-year-old woman, a citizen of Turkmenistan, wanted by Interpol Moscow. She had been declared internationally wanted with a request for extradition in connection with an ongoing investigation against her for fraud on a particularly large scale - more than 11 million euros.

After conducting operational and investigative actions, the police officers have established that the woman was hiding in Varna. She was detained under a police order for up to 24 hours, the Supreme Cassation Prosecutor's Office was notified, and the extradition procedure has been initiated.
