The Burgas Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior reported the theft of non-ferrous metals from a scrap collection facility. During the investigation, officers from the Second District Police Department in Burgas identified the perpetrator as a 45-year-old man from Sliven. The individual has a prior criminal record and previous convictions; following his arrest, he made a full confession to the authorities.
The crime was committed in the early hours of the morning, at approximately 03:15 a.m. on September 5. The robbery took place at a ferrous and non-ferrous metal collection facility located on Odrin Street in the city.
The items stolen were approximately 200 kg of scrap copper. According to information provided by the police, the total value of the stolen metal is estimated at nearly 2,400 euros.
