Major water main failure in the Burgas region

A large-scale failure of a main water pipeline has left dozens of settlements in the Burgas region without water supply. "Water Supply and Sewerage" EAD - Burgas officially confirmed the problem and stated that repair work is underway.

Water supply to the "Kamchia-South" system has been suspended until the completion of the repair activities.

Affected areas

Multiple areas in the municipalities of Karnobat, Aytos, Kameno, and Burgas are affected. Without water are:

  • Cities: Aytos, Kameno, and Balgarovo.
  • Villages: Nevestino, Sigmen, Iskra, Zimen, Glumche, Sokolovo, Kozare, Hadzhiite, Dragovo, Chukarka, Klikach, Chernograd, Polyanovo, Karageorgievo, Pirne, Karanovo, Malka Polyana, Svoboda, Krastina, Ravnets, and Bratovo.

Possible disruptions

ViK - Burgas warns that disruptions in the water supply are also possible in the Burgas district of "Vetren". The company assures that the water supply will be restored immediately after the completion of the emergency repair works.
