Ministry of Interior operation against the distribution of drugs and nitrous oxide

Six men have been detained, and new quantities of nitrous oxide and various types of narcotic substances have been seized during a specialized police operation in Sunny Beach, the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Burgas announced.

The operation is aimed at curbing the illegal sale of intoxicating substances in the resort complexes along the Southern Black Sea coast.

Details of the operation

The operation was carried out by officers from the "Criminal Police" and the Nessebar District Police Department. Two files have been opened regarding the distribution of nitrous oxide, and 37 canisters have been seized. It was established that an 18-year-old youth from Sofia was distributing the substance in Sunny Beach and the surrounding settlements.

Detainees and narcotic substances

  • Six people have been detained, including Bulgarian citizens and two Ukrainian citizens.
  • Three files have been opened for the possession of marijuana and cocaine.
  • A fast-track proceeding has been initiated against a 29-year-old man from the village of Kosharitsa for possession of marijuana.

We remind you that in recent weeks, the police in Sozopol seized record quantities of nitrous oxide – over 440 kg and hundreds of canisters. The checks will continue throughout the entire summer season.
