Large-scale operation on the Southern Black Sea coast: 10 detained for drugs and nitrous oxide

Ministry of Interior operation against the distribution of drugs and laughing gas

Ten people were detained over the past 24 hours during a large-scale specialized police operation aimed at countering the distribution of narcotic substances and the illegal sale of laughing gas along the Southern Black Sea coast. The operation was conducted under the leadership of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Burgas.

According to official police data, nine case files have been opened, along with one fast-track proceeding and one pre-trial proceeding concerning the sale of laughing gas to minors.

Results from inspections in Sunny Beach and Sozopol

• Sunny Beach: Five people were found with marijuana, one with methamphetamine, and three offering laughing gas. Significant quantities of canisters were also discovered, including seven boxes in a vehicle.
• Sozopol: Nearly 46 canisters of laughing gas and about 800 balloons were seized. A 27-year-old man from Sofia with a criminal record was detained.

The cases are multiplying, with one of the detainees being caught again following a recent inspection in Kiten, during which another 55 canisters were seized. We remind you that just a few days ago, on June 27, cocaine and laughing gas worth over 18,000 euros were seized in Sozopol.
