Criminal events, fire and traffic accidents in Burgas region

During the past 24 hours on the territory of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior - Burgas, three thefts, two other criminal offenses, one fire, and four traffic accidents were reported. Three police proceedings were initiated, and ten crimes were solved.

Within the framework of a specialized police operation in Pomorie, a 34-year-old local resident with a criminal record was detained, in whose possession 20 polyethylene bags containing a total of 200 grams of marijuana were found and seized. During the subsequent search of his home, another 20 bags of marijuana, scales, and empty plastic bags were found. A 54-year-old man from Pomorie, found at the address, was also detained along with him.

Officers from the Sozopol Police Station have detained a 23-year-old man from Gabrovo, in whose possession 167 ecstasy tablets, prepared for distribution, were found and seized. The man has been detained for up to 24 hours, and the case is ongoing.

In Sunny Beach, officers from the Nessebar Police Station found and seized 12 boxes, each containing six bottles of nitrous oxide with a total weight of 670 grams. The seized bottles were likely intended for distribution in establishments along the coastal alley. The driver of the vehicle in which the boxes were found is a 34-year-old man from Burgas without a criminal record.

A fire broke out in the land of the village of Ravda, Nessebar municipality, in which a 67-year-old man from Burgas, residing in a trailer, suffered nearly 40% burns to his body while trying to extinguish the fire. The man has been admitted to the Military Medical Academy in Varna, and the causes of the fire are being investigated.

Four traffic accidents were reported, in which several people were injured - a truck driver with a nasal fracture, a lacerated wound on the eyebrow, and a lacerated-contused wound on the elbow, a cyclist with a leg fracture, as well as a 49-year-old woman with minor injuries and a 3-year-old boy with a head injury.
