Member of Parliament Kostadin Kostadinov from the "Vazrazhdane" parliamentary group stated during today's meeting of the Committee on Culture and Media in the National Assembly that he is motivated to reintroduce the party's 2024 proposal to restrict gambling. In his arguments, he referred to the position previously expressed by Dr. Simona Veleva from the Council for Electronic Media (CEM) regarding the bill, which was not passed last year.

Kostadinov noted that despite the failure in 2024, the groundwork for partial restrictions on gambling advertising had nonetheless been laid. "Because gambling is a disease and an epidemic in our society right now, and there is no point in pretending it does not exist," the MP stated categorically. He expressed hope that the submitted bill would receive support.
