Three people from Sliven were injured when a Chevrolet Aveo overturned off the Trakia motorway at the 343km mark shortly after 9am yesterday, the regional police directorate (ODMVR) in Burgas said.

No other vehicles were involved. Police say the 66-year-old driver lost control of the car.

The two passengers have broken neck vertebrae. The man, 46, also has a head injury. The woman is 64. Both are being treated at the Heart and Brain hospital.

The driver has a bruised right shoulder blade. Doctors examined him and sent him home to recover.
