The Mayor of Pomorie Municipality, Ivan Aleksiev, will present the development strategy for MBAL – Pomorie on September 24, 2026 (Thursday) at 5:30 p.m. at the "Dechko Stoev" City Art Gallery.

The core principle guiding Pomorie Municipality's work on the strategy for the medical institution's financial recovery and the attraction of a strategic partner is to ensure the hospital remains an active municipal healthcare facility with real potential for growth. The municipality emphasizes that municipal property and the public interest must not be put at risk. Part of the ongoing work involves attracting a strategic partner.

According to the information presented, the strategy envisions modernizing the hospital's infrastructure, developing diagnostic imaging and the operating block, as well as the phased expansion of medical services. The goal is to allow more patients to receive necessary medical care in Pomorie without having to travel to other cities. The municipality notes that this is particularly important for the elderly, patients with chronic illnesses, families without their own transport, and due to the significant increase in population during the tourist season.

During the presentation, the planned method for stabilizing and modernizing the hospital will be clarified, along with the requirements for a potential strategic partner and how the necessary investments, equipment, and specialists will be secured. The presentation will also explain how municipal ownership and the public interest will be protected.
